Occupational Safety and Security, an Awareness lecture in the National Archives

The National Archives applies the standards of occupational safety and security and informs its employees about its rules.

The National Archives organized an educational lecture entitled Occupational Safety and Security at its headquarters. The lecture aimed at raising the level of awareness and embedding the culture of security and occupational safety among its employees. The National Archives confirms the importance of the safety of the work environment and the application of the necessary standards, and instructs staff to act properly in an emergency.

Mr. Hassan Al Qahtani, from the Public Safety Department of Abu Dhabi Police, took a tour of the building and praised the National Archives’ interest in the safety of the human element in the workplace, the application of best practices, and the provision of equipment and technologies that would eliminate many risks and ensure safety.  In fact, this fulfills the mission of the wise leadership to establish a fully safe and secure society.

The lecture dealt with safety in the workplace, provided general advice and guidelines for fighting fires, and focused on the importance of following the necessary instructions to avoid risks and accidents. It pointed out that risk awareness is useful in the preservation of life and property and reduces losses. Furthermore, the lecture focused on the causes and types of fires, methods of firefighting, and behavior in the event of a fire. The lecture urged employees to be aware of the importance of remaining calm and maintaining self-control in the first place.

It is worth mentioning that this awareness lecture is part of a series of activities and programs offered by the National Archives within the framework of occupational safety and security in order to improve the work environment, educate employees and familiarize them with the correct ways of acting in emergencies, inside and outside the workplace.
